Overview

After the defeat of The Dragon Gran Soren’s Urban Quarter is destroyed, and the Everfall opened out, creating a continuous tunnel drop to infinity; with the bottom of the chasm opening out onto the top, continually.

In its post-Dragon state the circular spiral path has been split, distorted and fragmented into separate ledges around the side of the chasm, which lead to a number of chambers containing various dangerous monsters. Initially all ledges will lead to the Chamber of Confusion, until the beast responsible for the distortion of space, an Evil Eye, is defeated.

Rare Loot

Chamber of Inspiration ledge, lit by Magickal Gleam

For a sortable list of rare items found in each chamber, see List of Everfall Loot.

Post-Dragon Everfall monsters will drop Wakestone Shards and Wakestones, with bosses dropping at least two Wakestones. The possession of a set of Dragon’s Tears (Drake’s Tear, Wyvern’s Tear, and Wyrm’s Tear) increases the amount of victory loot obtained in the Everfall post-Dragon.

Almost all chests within the Everfall’s chambers can contain rare equipment, generally of the best quality outside Bitterblack Isle, and better than anything that can be found in Gransys. The chances of obtaining the rare pieces is low (between 7% and 2%). Specific pieces of equipment are found in specific chests in specific chambers.

There are a number of full armor sets that require many, many visits to the Everfall’s chambers to collect in full. The sets include Crimson Armor Set, Golden Lion Set, Grisly Armor Set, Royal Surcoat Set, and Twilight Armor Set. Some pieces (but not all) of these sets can also be found in Bitterblack Isle.

In addition, there are three Pawns turned peddler : Joye, in the Chamber of Remorse; Delec, in the Chamber of Estrangement; and Akim near the Pawn Guild entrance. Each offers some of the same high level equipment for purchase.

Some Weapon Piles in the chamber may rarely give some of the highest quality equipment, including Cyclops Sigil, Chilling Razors, or Meloirean Greaves.

Trivia

  • «Ophis» is the Greek word for «Serpent». No doubt this name was chosen to symbolize how thieves surreptitious and deadly behaviors are reminiscent of a snake’s own predatory nature.
  • According to Betiah, a member of the gang, Ophis likes beautiful women. However Betiah also mentions that a feminine-looking male might also catch her eye, alluding to the Set of Lady’s Garb that most males will need to wear in order to speak to Ophis.
  • Even more so, in junction to Betiah’s words, Ophis herself states that: «I’ll not mind dying…so long as there’s prey and pretty girls in the life after.»
  • She has a non-hostile Cyclops as a pet, located in Ophis’ Domain. It will not respawn if killed.

Tactics

Combat

  • Fighters possess devastating close quarters swordplay skills. Attacks such as Dragon’s Maw, Burst Strike and Soul Skewer can easily quell most foes in one to three strikes. Dragon’s Maw is a must have skill to quickly decimate a large monster and is especially effective when focusing on a weak spot of a downed monster.
  • Traveling with a powerful Sorcerer is an excellent addition to the Fighter’s play style. While the Fighter draws enemies toward him or herself, this gives ample time for the Sorcerer to charge up devastating magical attacks. This tactic is especially useful in all large monster battles.
  • The Soul Skewer and Blink/Burst/Blitz Strike skills are very useful for stopping the movement and knocking down any monster up to the size of a Saurian, while dealing good damage. Useful for those annoying Wolves.
  • Sheltered Assault/Fusillade is a very good skill for attacking a boss in the middle of an attack. It may burn up more stamina but you will be safe while stabbing at the boss.
  • Shield Strike/Storm is perfect for breaking the guard of any enemy.
  • Skyward/Heavenward Slash is useful for knocking low flying enemies from the sky and attacking tall enemies, like the Goat’s head of a Chimera.
  • Tusk/Antler Toss is good at quickly knocking down foes, making it easy to follow up with a heavy jump attack.
  • If you find yourself needing better defenses and shield strength use some augments from the Mystic Knight class to obtain them. Fighters will also benefit from the defensive and offensive augments of the Warrior class.
  • The Fighter’s heavy jump attack strikes twice on hit, which is very effective on enemies that are knocked down, as well as being able to keep the enemy on the ground.

Other

  • Use of powerful skills such as Dragon’s Maw uses up Fighter’s limited stamina pool quite quickly — luckily the game provides ample sources of said curatives such as mushrooms which are just about everywhere you will be adventuring. Take advantage of this and other resources when adventuring.
  • When launched by a Fighter Pawn’s shield skill Launchboard you will automatically grab any monster you touch, so you don’t need to press «grab», it does it for you.

Nameless Terror (quest walkthrough)
Although this quest can be completed over several nights, this walkthrough was completed in a single night. Speed is essential, so focus on slaying the Nameless Men and ignore the other enemies. Listen for the «dramatic» music to indicate when the Nameless Men will appear. Sleep at the Union Inn until night, then exit from the north gate. Run north across the bridge to confront the first ambush. Run back across the bridge southwest to the Ancient Quarry’s north entrance for the second ambush. Run south towards Cassardis, through the Moonsbit Pass and slay the single enemy wizard (third ambush) near the big tree and harpies. Pass through the Mountain Waycastle and head southeast for the fourth ambush. Then run past The Encampment to the Cassardis Portcrystal to confront the leader, Zero (fifth ambush). Slay him and the quest is complete.

Level and Rank

Experience points

Experience Points are best farmed by repeatedly killing high level enemies, such as Death, Daimon, or the Ur-Dragon.

  • For the Ur-Dragon rapid kills are easily obtained offline.
  • With Death it can be lured and killed by falling into an abyss at the Gutter of Misery. This can also be done (repeatedly) at The Bloodless Stockade.

Hard Mode and Weal items can be used to increase the experience gain. (The Ur-Dragon is unchanged in Hard-Mode)

Discipline Points

Discipline Points are best gained by killing large numbers of smaller enemies.

Discipline Points (as well as Royal Banners and Interventives) can be farmed in Gran Soren during Post-Game with minimal effort.

Warning! Post game spoiler follows in italics

After the quest A Warm Welcome the guards in the Noble Quarter become hostile. The Arisen can climb the Gran Soren Cathedral boundary wall and let their pawns slay the endless reinforcements of Gran Soren soldiers, whilst receiving the Experience Points and Discipline Points for the battles.
The player may literally walk away from the game and come back in a few hours with current vocation maxed out to rank 9. Gaining levels is possible with this technique, but it is much slower than gaining vocation rank. This exploit can also be continued in in the Craftsman’s Quarter — where the Soldiers give more experience when slain (600+), but are noticeably harder to kill.

Notes

  • The Chamber of Confusion is only visitable once, and not after the Evil Eye that dwells there is defeated.
  • The post-Dragon Everfall can be entered from either the lower entrance of the Pawn Guild or by jumping into the gaping hole in town center of Gran Soren.
  • Monsters (such as Dragons, Cockatrices, Archydras and Evil Eyes) and chests within the Everfall will re-spawn every three (in-game) days.
  • Use the grapple button to grab onto the ledge as it approaches, preventing Fall Damage

Fall damage in the post-Dragon Everfall is not the same as in the rest of Gransys. Face-planting onto ledges will only inflict a fixed 200 health of damage, regardless of the distance of the fall. Disregarding one’s health in this manner to absorb minor injury will preclude the 9 second cutscene of the Arisen grabbing onto and climbing up the ledge platform. Pressing will also skip the cutscene.

    when timed correctly.

  • Due to the high drop rate of Wakestone Shards and Wakestones

The drop rate of Wakestones is increased by holding the Dragon’s Tears (Drake’s Tear, Wyrm’s Tear, Wyvern’s Tear) in the Arisen’s inventory.

in the Everfall, farming and selling them is a good way to make quick money.

  • Some rare Everfall loot may be more easily found in Bitterblack Island chests with considerably higher rates or as cursed Bitterblack items. Most Everfall weapons may also be obtained by purifying a cursed Bitterblack Weapon Lv.1

Of the items found in the Everfall, only the Grisly Greaves; Grisly Bracers; Holy Cuisses; Crimson Gauntlets, Crimson Sabatons, Shadow Greaves, and Dark Lorica are not yet known to have been found on Bitterblack Isle.

    .

Rift Crystals

The most common way to get large quanties of Rift Crystals is to arrange ones pawn to be consistently hired. (See Hired Pawns) Lower level pawns may also be «babysat» in more experienced parties for the purpose of both crystals, as well as Bestiary knowledge.

  • High level characters can farm the Cursed Dragon at Duskmoon Tower using Rancid Bait Meat for its Rift Crystal Drops.
    • Suicide runs through Bitterblack Isle may be used to focus on either Maneaters in chests, or Golden Knight and Silver Knight drops.
    • Characters able to easily defeat Daimon may speed run through Bitterblack for the common Crystal Cluster loot found in chests in Bitterblack Sanctum.
  • Saving a complete set of Badge of Vows from a previousy playthrough allows one to collect 100,000+ crystals every New Game Plus
  • The same method used to obtain Discipline Points (above) in the Noble Quarter Post-Game may be used to near effortlessly obtain rift crystals by hiring ones pawn with an «alt account».

Деревня «Cassardis»

Поэтому так вы получаете задание: «Make for the Encampment».

Loot

There are numerous chests, and sarcophagi in the tombs. Plants are unknown here, and mushrooms are uncommon. Skulls, curatives, and lesser items such as Empty Flasks are common. All kinds of environmental objects such as Pots, Explosive Barrels, boxes and Large Stones are all abundant.

Catacomb Gold is unique to the area’s deep level ore deposits.

Walkthrough

(7 ~ 0) Dragon’s Dogma ~ Come to Court Hero Trophy Guide

Come to Court ~ Video Walkthrough

In order to begin, speak with Ser Maximilian in the Noble Quarter and choose to «Hear the duke’s directive». The Wyrm Hunt License must be carried on the Arisen’s person as proof of identity.

Dragon’s Dogma Dark Arisen Come to Court

Choosing to meet with the Duke means abandoning any uncompleted Wyrm Hunt Quests; ensure outstanding quests and tasks have been completed before accepting. Maximillian will retrieve the Wyrm Hunt License, and access to the Duke’s Demesne will be granted.

Enter the Demense to progress the story.

Visit the Duke

Starting this quest makes the Duke’s Demesne accessible for the first time. Pawns are not allowed inside the castle by order of the Duke. Feel free to explore the castle grounds and collect loot. As in the rest of Gran Soren, any illegal or antisocial behaviour will result in arrest.

Enter the castle’s main keep through the front door to meet with the Duke. The jester Feste awaits within and will usher the Arisen into the ‘Audience Chamber’.

Once inside, the Arisen will be received by the Duke, his royal guards and guests, including Mercedes and Julien. The Duke will knight the Arisen, after which they are free to leave, explore further, or speak to the guests.

The knights in the chamber are Ser Shakil, Ser Vitlay, Ser Tascan, Ser Brigante, Ser Viceroth, Ser Chandra, Ser Gammon, Ser Falken, and Ser Covan.

See to the Royal Orders

On exiting the castle keep by the main door, the Arisen’s attention is drawn to someone in the gardens to the right — this is Aelinore. Speak to her to begin her questline. Caution! This is a one-off opportunity.

On nearing the exit gate of the Demense, the Arisen will be accosted by Aldous, who is introduced by Ser Alvert as the Duke’s chamberlain. Aldous is charged with assigning the Royal Orders Quests by the Duke.

After this scene, Aelinore will have left the garden and the opportunity to speak to her is lost.

Notes

  • Drakes can be killed outright by a Maker’s Finger, but if hit by the secondary tendrils it will loose all its health, but the Arisen will need to strike the final blow.
  • The Drake is lesser kin of The Dragon, one of three sub-species — it’s the Fire-based counterpart to the ice Wyrm and the thunder Wyvern

The Drake is the «land based» dragon, more likely to stay on the ground as opposed to take to the air; the Wyrm is a ground-based spell caster; and the Wyvern is the flyer.

    .

  • Having all three dragon tears in your inventory guarantees the Drake will drop a Wakestone (Post-Game Everfall only), and improves the chances of receiving the above drops.
  • The Drake at the Conqueror’s Sanctuary (Post-Game

The Drake’s Tear item drop is significantly more for the Conqueror’s Sanctuary Drake.(verify)

) takes considerably longer to respawn, over twenty days (3 weeks+); other Drakes in Gransys tpyically re-appear after 1 week.

  • (In Dark Arisen) saving shortly before (or exiting and saving during) a Dragon battle may increase its chances of flying off before the battle is complete.
  • If a Pawn is possessed, unequipping all the Pawn’s weapons will render them harmless.

Exploits exist for farming drops from destroyed horns and wings — leaving far enough and returning, saving and loading, or setting up a Portcrystal and teleporting to it, with the dragon undefeated, will reset both the dragons’ health and bodyparts (which will regrow).

Information and Stats

Griffins are large creatures with the head and wings of an eagle and the body of a lion. They are found in various locations in Gransys, usually not too far away from their preferred prey — the Ox.

The first encounter is likely to happen after the Arisen completed one of the four Wyrm Hunt Quests. Just outside Gran Soren’s south gate, a Griffin will attack a burning ox-drawn cart which had previously been ambushed by Goblins.

After this, further Griffins can be seen at several locations throughout Gransys.

Griffins are noble-looking creatures possessing the head of an eagle and the body of a lion. It is theorized that they arose from some strange bird, mutated by the effects of the Rift, that was able to adapt to this world and has since propagated. The griffin is attracted to bright objects and habitually hoards treasures and gold. Ever vigilant, a griffin will react to even the slightest sound and are sensitive to any nearby presence, so do not let your guard down just because the beast appears to be asleep. Griffins’ wings can also become electrically charged when flying through the sky, allowing them to employ lightning attacks. Griffins have relatively high intelligence for a magical beast and are different from those creatures that act impulsively on instinct alone. This is why griffins have been respected as noble creatures since ancient times. Even in the present day, the image of a griffin is often emblazoned upon swords and armor and used in the standards of knights. Griffins are not particularly quarrelsome or aggressive and they hunt primarily for food, not sport. They pose little threat to beasts which are not among their prey. That is, as long as you do not attempt to steal their treasure.

Description

Cursed Dragons are enemies in Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen.

Encountered on Bitterblack Isle, these undead dragons from origins unknown bear a striking visual similarity to a near death Ur-Dragon, however Cursed Dragons are smaller and less powerful. Instead of a heart, they have a single purple crystal in their chest, which the Cursed Dragon accompanying the Dark Bishop also lacks.

They breathe a vile and foul gas, which can inflict multiple debilitations and rots any time sensitive items in the party’s inventory.

Like the Ur-Dragon, the Cursed Dragon can be slain by a pawn if they strike the final blow to its crystal.
