Biography

Background

Nigel Cass was the CEO of Albion, the security corporation in London. He had led the company to overtake London, replacing the old law enforcement, and to hunt down DedSec members. Unknown to the public, he made a back door deal with Sabine Brandt, otherwise known as Zero Day, allowing her to create a terrorist attack on the Parliament House in order to convince the government to give Albion control of London. When Dalton Wolfe managed to disarm the bombs with help from Bagley, Cass went back on the deal and tried to have Sabine killed, but she escaped.

After the terror attack, Nigel was granted full security control over the entire city along with the CTOS system provided by Blume, which he used to hunt down DedSec members and operatives. Later, he shot the Metropolitan Police Commissioner and had the blame put on DedSec when the former refused to allow Nigel to use advanced combat drones from Tidis to eliminate crime.

Cass’ main aim was to take full control of London and the entire United Kingdom and control the entire law enforcement system. The main reason behind this agenda was because he saw his father get killed by random gangsters which set him on the path of revenge.

Death

In the mission London’s Protectors, a DedSec operative (chosen by the player) infiltrates the Tower of London, where Cass is hiding in the bunker beneath the fortress. He fights the operative using a prototype combat drone and sending Albion soldiers to the bunker. Despite these efforts, his drone is destroyed by the operative, and Cass, armed with a rifle, attempts to kill them but is gunned down. As he dies, he tells the operative that their faith in the people’s willingness to join the resistance will lead to their downfall.

Events of Watch Dogs

DedSec can trace their origins back to Umeni which at one point sent many of their engineers to prison, subsequently, after being released many of them went on to form the group and fight against corporate injustice and corruption.

At some point in the game, they contact Aiden Pearce to target many corrupt Umeni executives to have their revenge and later on contact him again to infiltrate Danny SoSueMe’s mansion to recover data stolen from them. They also tip him on a shipment containing a Biometric Assault Rifle and to give him the whereabouts of two high ranking Chicago South Club members for him to dispose of on behalf of the group. However, Aiden is not affiliated with DedSec, though he does have dealings with some of its members.

Following Clara Lille’s death, DedSec declares her a martyr and promises a reckoning.

Near the end of the game, they contact Aiden again before he is about to take control of the CTOS satellite to ask for 30 seconds to search through the system and collect all data necessary that could help them in their quest for justice. However, Aiden refused to do so and Dedsec warned that they will not forget this.

It is revealed on one of their broadcasts during the credits that they are tired of people ignoring their warnings, stating their reputation has been damaged and that they had been attacked by other hackers such as Defalt, declaring a digital war upon Blume and the citizens of Chicago.

Despite the fact that Aiden was responsible for releasing the blackmail to the public, DedSec claims credit for this action.

Watch Dogs: Bad Blood

During the «Council of Daves» investigations, it is revealed that one of DedSec’s leaders had grown tired of the other Daves wanting more to «stroke their own egos through social media than bring real change» and wished to further militarize DedSec. The rogue Dave lured Dave04 and DaveZB over to the Ambrose Theatre, Defalt’s old haunt, and murdered them, then coded a video of Defalt’s meeting with the Daves into a QR square on the Pawnee Dam, as a message to the other Daves, to implicate Defalt. He then arranged a meeting with Daveftp, Dave Capisano and Dave_of_Spades at a construction site in Pawnee, then sent Fixers in to ambush them. However, Raymond «T-Bone» Kenney learned of his treachery in time and arrived to protect the Daves from the waves of fixers sent to kill them. The Daves pledged their gratitude to Kenney, who declared that they now owed him a favor. It is unknown what became of the treacherous Dave.

Biography

Tyrone was born in , which makes him one of the youngest characters in the game. It appears that he was raised by his grandmother. Bedbug is the cousin of the Viceroys leader Iraq. In an unknown year, he joined the Viceroys and became the lieutenant of a street section of the gang. Despite hoping he could become a high-ranked member because he is Iraq’s cousin, he never became one. In fact, Iraq did not like Bedbug because he is lazy, saying that he is like their grandma’s bulldog «Fathead».

As an alias, Tyrone uses «Bedbug», much to his grandmother’s disgust. Bedbug is shown to be a lazy person and easily scared. He, however, obeys Aiden and breach inside Iraq’s rooms. He also seems to be clumsy as he almost drops his recording device in his first audio log. When considering how to infiltrate Rossi-Fremont Aiden easily recognized Tyrone as a mark due to his status and incompetence within the gang describing him as «a bad combination» of being ambitious but lazy due to his assumption that if anything happened to Iraq he would be the next in line to command the Viceroy’s, however both Iraq and the rest of the gang are quick to put him in his place when called for due to being weak and repeatedly making mistakes.

Events of Watch Dogs

Bedbug is first encountered in Grandma’s Bulldog, where he has stolen one of the Club’s briefcases containing the guests list for the auction. Iraq mocks him, saying that business matters more to him than Bedbug himself. Later, Bedbug is blackmailed by Aiden Pearce to help him infiltrate the Black Viceroys at Rossi-Fremont in order to hack their servers. Aiden records numerous compromising speeches from him. Bedbug never sees him, and thinks he is a Police or a Club guy.

Bedbug sneaks inside Rossi-Fremont, helped by Aiden who controls the nearby security cameras. However, he is only able to get a partial download before being discovered. Iraq interrogated him, demanding to know what he knew about Rose Washington, and when he became convinced that Bedbug knew nothing, he spared him. Bedbug then called Aiden, informing him of what he had just learned and Aiden agreed to cut him loose. It’s unknown what became of him after Iraq’s death and the ensuing gang power struggle. He is mentioned for the last time in By Any Means Necessary. After killing Iraq, Aiden says that Bedbug now has the chance to stay away from the Viceroys forever, and hopes that he will take that chance.

Trivia

• «Dermot» is the anglicized form for «Diarmaid», which means «without injunction».
• His nickname, «Lucky», might be a reference to Charles «Lucky» Luciano, who ran the «National Crime Syndicate» in the Prohibition era.
• Quinn has a modified cane that houses a sharp blade attached to the pommel, pointing downwards when inside the cane, as seen in «Backseat Driver».
• He has an annual income of $10,022,700, which previously was the highest income for any Watch Dogs character, until the introduction of Watch Dogs 2‘s Dušan Nemec and Gene Carcani, who have incomes of $110,029,000 and $1,705,032,700, respectively.
• In one of his audio logs, Quinn says that he is disgusted by the auction, and by man’s libido. He hopes that, when he has enough trust in Iraq, he will not have to attend the auctions anymore.
• At the age of 75, he is the game’s oldest character.

Background

Josh grew up in an emotionally supportive family that «kept him grounded while still encouraging his mechanical engineering skills» and «taught him the necessity of building bridges and not burning them. So while volunteering and helping isn’t instinctive to him, it is still something he actively pursues to keep those muscles in shape. Josh is pragmatic that way.» However, CtOS flagged and discriminated against him on account of his high-functioning autism.

According to Horatio, he and Sitara were the ones to scout Josh after seeing his anti-CtOS videos on !Nvite. Back then he had a somewhat naive understanding of CtOS’s capabilities, unsuccessfully using a cheap skull mask and voice scrambler to disguise his identity, but upon joining DedSec he quickly stood out as their most proficient coder.

Appearance

T-Bone is a Caucasian male with mid-length, dark brown hair and a fair amount of facial hair. He appears to be of build. T-Bone wears a short-sleeve grey button-up shirt above a charcoal undershirt with its sleeves rolled up. He also wears leather armbands. His jeans are torn and there are a number of company patches on them. Along with that, he wears brown construction boots. T-Bone also sports a white and grey cap with goggles over the brim of the hat. In terms of jewelry, T-Bone has a septum piercing and two metal rings that tie his beard together.

In Watch Dogs 2, T-Bone wears a hat that says «Mr. Poop,» a yellow tropical shirt, an undershirt that says «I GOT CRABS IN SF,» brown cargo shorts and brown sandals.

Кроме того что он может брать ботнет-ресурсы и банковский счет он может подслушивать чужие телефонные разговоры и подсматривать чужие переписки. С улучшениями Маркус сможет: управлять машинами не садясь в них, управлять подъёмниками, использовать шоковые гранаты и СВУ, управлять роботами, отключать системы безопасности, может угонять транспорт без сирены, разгонять машины до максимальной скорости, возвращать вертолёты на базу, позволяет делать людей целью банд или полиции, отвлекать людей, может взламывать светофоры и устроить хаос на дороге, отключать все объекты на время находящийся рядом с Маркусом, отключать свет рядом с ним. Маркус может переодеваться в разную одежду покупая ее или получить бесплатно. Он может покупать машины и заказывать их, но для этого ему нужно приложение «Машина по требованию». Также машину можно не покупать и найти разные машины которые потом можно будет заказывать.

Personality

Bedbug is ambitious, but lazy. He lives with his grandmother and is shown to care for her. Bedbug has a sense of entitlement, believing that his cousin would provide for him and make him a high ranking member of the Viceroys simply due to them being family and not because bedbug was willing to put any effort into it, leading him to become arrogant, a mistake which he regrets later. Bedbug can easily be intimidated and blackmailed, as even the smallest blackmail on him was able to convince him to turn on Iraq and sneak into their secret server room.

Unlike his cousin Iraq, Bedbug is not above empathy and compassion, as he could understand and even sympathize with why the blackmailer wanted him to sneak into he server room once Aiden revealed that Iraq may have been indirectly involved in the death of someone close to him. Bedbug even went on to secretly call Aiden and tell him about Rose Washington, without Aiden even asking for any information. Bedbug even demonstrates his love for his grandmother when he refuses to leave her and skip town even with someone having blackmail on him.

Personality

Nigel keeps a calm and organized demeanor, while also being a cold and unforgiving liar, murdering the Metropolitan Police Commissioner without any sign of remorse and pinning the Commissioner’s death on DedSec to assume more power and justification to Albion. In the mission Inside Albion, it is revealed that Cass experienced a deeply traumatic event when he witnessed his father, Gareth, being murdered by random gangsters. Because of that, he began exhibiting symptoms after what he frequently described as a ‘random’ event. His initial symptoms included insomnia, paranoia, distorted blame and recurring flashbacks, however he channeled his anger and self-described powerlessness into his work, and to ensure Albion become a quote «mechanism for preventing unpredictable violence.»

Trivia

• The first audio log that is available and is under the author Aiden Pearce (#1) states that Jordi was a fixer (as stated above) Aiden hired to help find the gunman, which eventually led Aiden to Maurice.
• When Aiden or Marcus use the Profiler on Jordi, all of his information is displayed as ‘NO RECORD’ or ‘ERROR.’ This could be due to him meddling with the CTOS. It is also possible that Jordi illegally immigrated to Chicago to begin his criminal career, so has no information regarding his identity.
• Jordi’s picture can be found on Aiden’s wall in his Owl Motel room. There are notes written next to it that read «TO CONTACT; FIXER #9; TRUST?».
• His surname ‘Chin’ suggests that he is of Chinese descent. The statement is also backed up by the comments on him by Marcus, who recognizes him as Chinese.
• His suit bears a striking resemblance to Kazuma Kiryu’s from the Yakuza game series.
• He can be seen briefly during a Privacy Invasion. Jordi is standing in front of a dead man, whom he probably killed, cleaning up the mess.
• After completing the entire campaign, Aiden’s first Cars on Demand request includes Jordi Chin telling Aiden that he will be on leave while his associate takes over.

Марк Трасс

Марк Трасс – челоек, который решил воспользоваться возможностями и услугами, которые предлагает Blume. Он – конгрессмен, который хочет прийти к власти, подделав результаты выборов. Ребята всеми силами стараются помешать этому.

Ленни

Ленни – это хакерша из Prime_Eight. Ее нанял Думаш Немеч для того, чтобы убрать с дороги Маркуса и DedSec. Однако Ленни не справляется с задачей. В дальнейшем Ленни становится союзницей Маркуса.

Маркус Холлоуэй

Маркус Холлоуэй — это главный персонаж игры. Он наделен недюжинными способностями и хитростью. Его главная цель – победа над системой коррупции, в сетях которой находится весь  Сан-Франциско. Маркус взаимодействует с DedSec .

Родина Маркуса – Окленд из Калифорнии, где парень родился в 92-ом году ХХ века. По характеру Маркус – настоящий эгоист, однако харизматичный и одаренный.

Главный герой – выходец из бедной семьи, однако его жизнь стала еще труднее после ошибки в системе ctOS, после которой Маркуса перепутали с особо опасным преступником. Маркус был вынужден бежать, и судьба привела его в Сан-Франциско к хакерам из DedSec. Вместе с новыми друзьями Маркус становится главной силой против тех, кто использует ctOS в личных целях.

Маркус – настоящее дитя своего времени, и отлично умеет не только управляться со всеми видами электронных устройств, но и на высокотехнологичной основе создавать все необходимое своими руками. Его излюбленное оружие ближнего боя – шар для бильярда на веревке, также Маркус создает любые виды оружия на 3D принтере: от нелетального тазера до разрушительного гранатомета.

Впрочем, Маркуса нельзя назвать ботаном: он силен и ловок, владеет паркуром и вполне уверенно чувствует себя на улице.

При этом Маркус всегда носит с собой необходимый набор гаджетов: ноутбук, смартфон, дрона и небольшого дистанционно управляемого робота с манипулятором, что позволяет ему буквально на лету получать нужную информацию или брать под контроль самые разнообразные электронные устройства. Все это в сочетании с отличной физической подготовкой делает Маркуса грозным «городским партизаном».

Development

Tony Key, senior vice president of Ubisoft, said at E3 that the commercial success of Watch Dogs showed that the brand has staying power. In , a Ubisoft developer accidentally revealed that Watch Dogs 2 was in development, further suggesting that the game is in the works. In May 2016, the game was confirmed and from then until November 15, its release, many early gameplay videos and features were revealed.

The development of Watch Dogs 2 was very heavily influenced by feedback from the first game. One of the first things the developers worked on were the driving mechanics, which senior producer Dominic Guay described as «polarizing» in the first game, and that «some people liked it, some people didn’t like it.» Other things added into the game based on player feedback from the first game included a more «likable» protagonist, expanded gameplay mechanics more centric around hacking, a more expansive and interactive open world, and more customizable clothing options. Further player feedback also caused Ubisoft to delay the release of the PC port by two weeks, in order to incorporate features specifically requested by PC players.

Ренч

Ренч – один из членов DedSec и по совместителству лучший друг Маркуса.  Ренч – незаурядный персонаж Watch Dogs 2. Его лицо скрыто маской, поверхность которой представляет собой LED дисплей, отображающий в виде смайликов эмоции, которые испытывает Ренч. Он грубый, веселый, адреналинозависимый и очень смелый. У Ренча было не самое легкое детство. Ренч и сейчас стеснителен и замкнут, особенно в общении с противоположным полом. Скорее всего, маска – вынужденная мера, которая позволяет Ренчу подавлять патологическую застенчивость.

Его отношения с другими: С Маркусом лучшие друзья, с Ти-Боном немного враждовали, однако после подружились. Ренч многим напоминает Дефолта из Watch Dogs, кстати, есть предположение, что Дефолт – его брат.

В начале Ренч очень не доверял Рею и даже бывало конфликтовал с ним, но потом отношения стали менее напряженными.

Имеет собственного робота по имен Ренч – младший. В свое время Ренч взломал обычного робота-наблюдателя,  и перепрограммировал его в своего «робо-сына».

• Artistic Intuition: She is the one who vandalizes various areas of Silicon Valley with DedSec graphics arts as a form of marketing.
• Athletic Skills: Sitara revealed to Marcus in Looking Glass that she is a track star. She has shown to be quite adept at acrobatics, being able to jump from one building to another with complete grace. In the final mission, Motherload, the player gets to briefly play as her, and during this part of the mission she is depicted to be very adept at parkour.
• Hacking Skills: Like any member of DedSec, she is highly skilled at using hacking prowess to manipulate data and technology.
