Biography[edit]

Kpii’s professional Dota 2 record began with oceanic teams, including Noxious Gaming and AkmA before landing his first notable competitive result with Can’t Say Wips AU in late 2014, where his team placed second in the Defense of the Australians Spring 2014, the largest ongoing Dota 2 tournament in the Oceanic region at the time.

On February 26 of 2015, Kpii found a place in MVP Phoenix, a mostly Korean team. MVP.Phoenix pushed through the South East Asian qualifiers for The International 2015, placing second to their sister team MVP HOT6ix and making it into the wildcard qualifiers. They followed by again placing second in the wild card qualifiers to make it into the main event, in which the team placed an equal 7-8th.

From August of the same year, he spent difficult 5 months on EHOME.K, who placed second in the Chinese region of The Shanghai Major 2016 Open Qualifiers, unable to make it through.

On the 25th of March 2016, Kpii entered the roster of previous international champions Newbee. After a clean streak through The Manila Major 2016 Chinese Qualifiers, Newbee, with Kpii on position three offlane, pushed to third place where they were eliminated. In July 2016, he won the Nanyang Dota 2 Championships Season 2 and came second in DPL Season 1. At The International 2017, kpii finished runners-up to Team Liquid. Newbee later secured a victory at ESL Genting 2018.

After a disappointing first-round knockout at The International 2018, Kpii left Newbee after spending two years with the roster to help reform Mineski along with febby and JT- in September.

Biography[edit]

DotAedit

QO was first introduced to DotA when a man from a church showed him the game every Sunday. While initially bored and disappointed at the game because he was dying a lot, he eventually decided to learn and persevere with the game eventually beating the man from the church. While learning the game, QO played DotA as leisure during his years in Australia under the name RoastedKimchi. He continued to play the game when its sequel Dota 2 was released.

Dota 2edit

QO’s origins of his name was by chance when he made the decision to change his nickname due to most websites and gaming platforms allowing only 4-12 letters when his previous name, «RoastedKimchi» contained 13 letters. By randomly choosing the letters QO, he also realized that it in capitals that it looked like a face and furthermore from word of mouth, typing QO on a Korean keyboard meant don’t back. Coincidentally, he believes that he does not «back» and likes to play aggressive while in Dota 2, picking a username does not need to be between 4-12 letters, hence choosing the name QO. While playing other games such as League of Legends, he eventually chose Dota 2 because of its depth and was interested in the Blink ability.

While studying science in Australia, QO’s first professional Dota 2 stint came in 2013 with AkmA which was a group of Australian players in a stack. For his winter holidays, he traveled to South Korea and met his future teammate Sagun online. After numerous talks with Sagan, he was introduced to March. The emerging Nexon Dota 2 events in South Korea saw this as an opportunity to play with March and QO decided to take a gap year on his studies with the consent of his parents. He joined FXOpen e-Sports alongside March, Febby and Sagun as a mid laner. Despite being knocked out of the AMD Premier League Season 2 in the round of 16, QO displayed his worth to the team by playing a great series in the Nexon Starter League Season 1 with a surprise mid pick Meepo in the grand finals to secure a 3-0 grand final win against EoT Hammer, winning the tournament and complimentary tickets to watch The International 2013. QO then left FXO and made his own team called 5 in QO. In 2014, QO joined MVP Phoenix and saw them qualify for Starladder StarSeries IX — their first lan event outside South Korea. Over the course of 2014-15 QO participated in more events and showed displays of growth as player with placing 4th place in I-League Season 2 and Starladder StarSeries 11. The team carried this play into the qualifiers for The International 2015, making it through the qualifiers and wildcard, and ending up placing 7-8th. The team exhibited their determination and resilience, under the looming speculation of March retiring due to military service. QO became known for his Templar Assassin throughout the tournament against Team Empire in the first match of the elimination when on the 29th minute, he survived a 1v3, and despite initially fleeing, decided to Meld and killed two with style — QO finished the game with the score of 19-5-5.

In 2016 saw a transition and further growth for QO and MVP with first place wins in Dota Pit League Season 4 and WePlay Dota2 League Season 3. He has placed 4th and 5-6th place in Shanghai and Manila majors respectively. QO believed that the rise in MVP Phoenix was due to continually playing ranked solo matches and further practice. In an interview, QO mentioned his «solid-play» style as a further reason behind its recent success in 2016:«Our team is highly based on individual skill. Our players read skills well, they foresee the next movements. Those kinds of things help the drafting. Whatever you draft, a skilled player can play anything.» The team’s recent achievements saw them receive a direct invitation to The International 2016. QO was featured in a player profile and finished 5-6th place in the tournament left MVP Phoenix. He competed at the MPGL/Southeast Asian Championship with a stand-in team, finishing runners-up. He later returned to MVP Phoenix with the stand-in team.

On the 18th January 2018, QO announced that he would be taking a break from Dota 2. During his extended break he returned to Australia to study, and with documentation issues, he later formed Team Oracle in April 2019 and was announced as the carry player for the team.

History[edit]

This section is an excerpt from History of OG

Team OG was originally formed under the name (monkey) Business and was comprised of both experienced veterans in n0tail and Fly as well as new and upcoming talents in Miracle-, Cr1t- and MoonMeander. The team achieved their breakthrough during the Frankfurt Major, defeating European powerhouse Team Secret in the grand finals. The team continued to have a strong presence in the European Dota scene, but after a fourth-place finish at The Summit 4, OG’s dominance began to wane and ended with a 7-8th place finish in the Shanghai Major. Despite this, the team rebounded with a 3rd place finish at EPICENTER and claimed a second Dota Major Championship title at the Manila Major. The squad proceeded to defeat Natus Vincere at ESL One Frankfurt 2016, winning the tournament and securing their invite to The International 2016.

OG performed well in the group stage of The International 2016 and finished first in their group. Despite this, the team was unable to maintain their momentum and fell to the loser’s bracket against MVP Phoenix. 7ckingmad would later say in his ‘Reflections’ interview with Duncan «Thorin» Shields that they chose to play MVP Phoenix after their ‘complete domination’ of them at the Manila Major, and that this may have been a mistake. Following this unexpected loss, the team was eliminated by TNC Gaming and finished 9-12th, in what has been referred to as one of the biggest upsets in professional Dota 2. Shortly after their disappointing run, OG announced that MoonMeander would no longer be an active player, and that Cr1t- and Miracle- would be leaving the team. In the same ‘Reflections’ interview, 7ckingmad claimed that it was a personality conflict within the team that led to the removal of Moonmeander, and that once the team wasn’t remaining as 5, it prompted Miracle to consider other offers.

Biography[edit]

PGG (plzgogame) is one of the most famous players in CIS scene. Known in his DotA 1 days for his ability to steal Aegis, find and bring talented players from pubs to the professional scene, and to win LAN events against renowned teams with a mix-team of his own. A very emotional and vocal captain that often trashtalks to improve team’s morale. He got the nickname «Grand Theft Aegis» for his Aegis-stealing highlight plays on Storm Spirit.

PGG is perhaps best known for his scintillating but inconsistent play on Enigma. He has often landed game-changing Black Holes, for which he gained the nickname «The Blackest Black Hole.» However, he is also often ridiculed for frequently casting Black Hole on zero targets. Dota commentators and viewers often refer to a whiffed Black Hole that catches no enemy heroes as a «PGG Black Hole» or simply a «PGG».

PGG is permanent captain of his team TheRetry, infamous for disbanding and rebanding constantly. It often consists of lesser known players that are trying to break into the higher level of competition.

Biography[edit]

Having been in the competitive Dota scene almost since it started, NS is one of the most famous support players of all time. Playing with Virtus.pro when they dominated the scene during 2007, with a lineup consisting of NS, Vigoss, ARS-ART, JoliE and LighTofHeaveN. The team won three consecutive MYM PriDe tournaments and reached the finals of several ASUS Open Cups.

Due to internal problems as well as lack of sponsorship, NS left VP in 2008 to join «Rush3d». In this team he would be joined by former VP teammates ARS-ART, Vigoss and LighTofHeaveN as well as PGG, DeMoN and QWERTY. Together they won three consecutive ASUS Open tournaments. During Spring 2009 the team switched sponsor to the Chinese organization «Platium Sports» and went to China to practice.

NS had a notable stay on DTS, together with ARS-ART, LighT, Dread and God. They finished second at ESWC 2010 and won MYM PriDe #12 as well as some other notable tournaments. DTS dropped their Dota team in March 2011, leaving the squad teamless under the name «Garaj». Not long after, they found a new sponsor in Moscow Five and named «M5.Garaj» the squad won the OSPL Spring finals.
