Sandbox

Sandbox means that the goal is to design virtual world with its own set of mechanisms and rules that will let players to do anything within that world that their imagination desires. Like a real sandbox, with some sand, some tools and your own two hands, you can do whatever you want – dig a tunnel, shovel out moats, build castles and raise hills.

These are the very things you will be able to do in this game: shape terrain in any way you like, such as raising ground, lowering ground, flattening it for further building placements, digging tunnels, even finding ore veins and mining them. You can build entire underground cities, as you are not limited by the width or height of your tunnels. You can make a huge pyramid with your friends and dig a maze inside of it just for fun. The only limit is your imagination! Watch the pre-alpha videos to get a look at these aspects of the game in more detail.

If you don’t want to dwell underground, you can make a home for yourself, a whole village, town or even a castle. You can also make it sandbox-style. You can build whole castle walls with sections, allowing you to build them however you like. Who knows, maybe you will be the first one to build the Great Wall in this world. Same goes for buildings – you can either choose to use preset buildings (such as windmills, warehouses, keeps etc.) or design your own multi-story buildings square by square and however you like.

MMORPG

Life is Feudal: MMO was released on November 17, 2017.

MMORPG stands for massively multi-player online role-playing game. This means, that you won’t be alone in your sandbox, there will be many more other players that will either be aiding you to further your own goals, or working against you to further their own, all the time shaping this new virtual world. It also means that there will be an RPG system, based on statcap and skillcap concepts (UO style), alignment and a rich crafting system spiced with an innovative flash minigame concept.

CLAIMS/LANDS

Claims are radial areas around you monument providing protection from a midnight decay and offering additional options for guild management to configure permissions. There are two types of a guild claim areas with a separate set of rules and permissions

  • Town claim. A permanent radius of 20 tiles
  • City claim. Zero value radius for a fresh new monument and grows together with upgrade progress bar and monument level.

Depending on a diplomacy state you will see other players’ claims in a different color. Neutral lands for example

  • War — Red
  • Neutral — Yellow
  • Ally — Blue
  • Own lands — Green

Pay attention to these colors as if you cross Neutral lands border, Claim owners will be able to use «Trespassers!» ability, mark you as a criminal for a short time and kill without Karma loss. An additional message about border crossing will appear in a system chat informing you of potential danger. While you are located on an enemy (Red) claim you can be killed without any consequences to karma even without using «Trespassers!» ability.

Q: What are the basic stats in Life is Feudal: MMO?

A: There are 5 main indicators — combinations of which will determine what kind of skills can be used by a single player:

  1. Strength (Str). Each point of strength determines effective equipment weight by 0.5 points. It does not increase attack damage, but allows you to effectively wield heavier weapons and armor;
  2. Agility (Agi). Each point of agility increases movement speed and accurracy of ranged weaponry;
  3. Constitution (Con). Each point of constitution grants +1 soft HP and +1 hard HP. Each point will increase the inventory capacity by 0.5 points;
  4. Willpower (Will). Each point of willpower grants player +1 soft Stamina, +1 hard Stamina, and increases the weight capacity by 2;
  5. Intellect (Int). Each point of intellect past 10 increases total skillcap by +2 points.

For more detailed information and list of corresponding skills proceed to: https://lifeisfeudal.gamepedia.com/Statistics

Q: How can I start my own farm?

A: You need to level up Household to Tier 2, so you could unlock the Farming skill.  Farming is used to produce crops for activities such as Cooking, Animal Lore, and sowing new crops. Here’s what you need to harvest your first crop:

  1. Check the map and make sure you are in the correct region for the crops you want to grow, as they cannot be grown outside the region where they can be gathered;
  2. Check the calendar and wait for the right seeding season for the crops you want to grow;
  3. Prepare a soil for a sow. Unplowed soil will not be able to bring any harvest. With a shovel equipped, you can right click on the ground and choose Farming/Plow to turn the selected soil to plow it. Alternatively, you can craft a Plough and use it to plow the soil faster. Rocky surfaces and some steep tiles cannot be plowed, so get rid of rocks and pavement before seeding anything;
  4. After all the preparations will be finished and the seeding season is finally there, sow your seeds;
  5. Wait until the gathering season of your crops and gather them before they decay;
  6. After you harvest your crops, the used soil will turn into regular soil and will decrease in quality.

Note: Low quality fertile soil can be improved by fertilizing it. This ability will be unlocked once you achieve Level 90 Farming. Take Dung from your coops, barns, and stables, right click on the ground and choose Farming/Fertilize.

Life is Feudal: Your Own — выживать, развиваться и объединяться с себе подобными. Life is Feudal: Your Own

Life is Feudal: Your Own выполнена неплохо.

Life is Feudal: Your Own

Life is Feudal: Your Own

Q: What are the skills in Life is Feudal: MMO?

A: There are total 55 different skills in our game, that are divided into three types:

  1. Crafting — allows the character to craft and construct items, objects, and buildings;
  2. Combat — allows the character to equip certain type of weapons and different types of armors as well as warhorses and use siege weaponry;
  3. Minor — allows the character to impose certain in-game actions like gestures or additional moves.

Note: Every branch of skills consists of 3 (combat) and 4 (crafting) tiers . Combat skills additionally include four independent skills. The next tier of each skill is unlocked upon reaching 30 skill points in the previous tier. Increasing next tier skill past 29.999 is possible upon reaching 60 skill points in previous tier. Minor skills are the only exception, as they consist only of independent skills.

Q: Trading posts. What are they?

A: Trading posts are what makes the world economics spin. The trading post is a special type of an Outpost which allows players to exchange their goods. Its core functioning isn’t complicated: players are placing the goods in the trading post and set the price for them. Together, trading posts are emerging as an enormous system, where players can see the trade offers from every trading post in the Realm.
One will have to bring his gold to the post where the item is stored and conduct the trade there. In short, every trading post will show every trade offer, but only one post will be able to distribute the good from that specific offer.
And yes, medieval times are not to be called medieval without a certain risk, emerging out of nowhere. It’s fair to say, that goods stored are not safe and can be taken by a guild you’re currently warring with if they succeed at raiding and capturing the Trade post.
Resources and skills needed for building the Trading post can be found here.

Province[]

A province is a union of ~50 neighbouring fiefs. The province can be captured by a guild. Possession of a province grants the right to receive taxes from the fiefs within it but does not provide any additional rights. Each province has a name that is displayed on the map.

, Province and Protectorate

PROVINCE OWNERSHIP

Every province can be captured and controlled by a guild. In order for a certain guild to get control over a Province, it must issue and win an Instanced Battle against the current owner of the province. Unclaimed provinces still need to be challenged by an Instanced Battle, but attackers will be granted with an auto win.

Controlling of the province does not provide any direct control over the fiefs, outposts or other guild monuments that are within the province borders. But instead, it allows for the controlling guild to automatically gather taxes from the monuments, fiefs and private claims on this province.

TAXES

Taxes are gathered automatically and appear in a guild monument container of a guild, that controls the given province. Currently, the tax rate is fixed at a rate of 20%. That means that the owners of outposts, guild monuments and private claims in this province will have to pay extra 20% to the owner of the province.

Example: For instance, if a certain guild pays 1 silver coin per in-game day for their outpost support, they will have to pay 20 additional copper coins to the guild that currently owns the province.

Note: If there are not enough coins for the support and tax, Outposts and Monuments on the fief will be downgraded, damaged and eventually destroyed by the game with an each missed payment.

To see taxes, that your guild will get, press the ‘Taxes’ button in the Monument window.

Once first unclaimed and neutral fiefs and provinces are claimed by guilds they can contest for the ownership of those lands.

CAPTURING A FIEF & OUTPOSTS (RAID MECHANICS)

In order to capture a Fief, the offending guild should claim the Outpost of the defenders that is placed on the targeted Fief. In order to do so, attackers must follow the following steps:

Attackers need to have their fief with a level 3 Outpost be bordering with the fief that they want to capture
The guild that own attacked fief (defenders) must have an active Guild’s Judgment Hour at the given moment
Attackers use ‘Initiate a Holy Judgement’ ability on their level 3 Outpost to make it “burning” with a Holy Judgement fire (it will be marked on the Map with a torch icon).

That will make their own fief AND all bordering fiefs and all buildings on these fiefs to be vulnerable to the siege damage, destruction and capturing for the next two hours.
Attackers need to use ‘Claim outpost’ ability to initiate the claiming process and prevent defenders from interrupting this process.
If attackers succeed, level 2/3 defenders’ outpost will lose one level but outpost and fief will still be owned by defenders. While level 1 outpost will change ownership and will belong to attackers along with a fief it stands on.

There are some details that are important in this system:

An outpost cannot be claimed until one real day passes after someone has used ‘Claim outpost’ ability on it.
After successful claiming, the outpost cannot be upgraded for the next 3 real-life days.
Outposts cannot be destroyed with an ability nor by inflicting the damage. The only way to destroy an outpost — is to stop its support with coins and letting it to decay.
You must keep in mind, that initiating a Holy Judgement on your fief will be considered as a hostile action towards all the neighbouring fiefs. Some neighbouring guilds that you didn’t want to attack originally might attack your outpost to ‘extinguish’ it and thus save their fiefs from the vulnerability that you have triggered.

In order to capture the main Fief of a guild (with a Guild Monument on it) attacking guild must make sure that they downgraded that guild monument to Tier 1 by capturing all Fiefs that are bordering with that main fief. Once the defender’s Guild Monument is downgraded to the Tier 1 attackers should follow the normal flow, that is provided above, in order to raid and destroy the defenders’ Guild Monument.

If a Guild Monument Tier don’t allow the guild to capture one more fief, then after successful 1 level outpost claiming, the outpost will be destroyed (except fiefs bordering with the Guild Monument).

Q: How can I communicate with other players in-game?

A: In order to achieve maximum convenience, several situational in-game chat systems have been established:
1. Local Chat. Used to communicate with players that are relatively nearby. Divided into three sub chats:

  • /whisper (text) or /# (text) is used to deliver a short range message that will be noticed only by players that are really close to you. (approx. 25 meter range)
  • /say (text) or just type a message text into chat window. That message will be delivered to all the feudalists in a 100+ meter range.
  • /shout (text) or /! (text) and a message text to send a message within a 250 meter range.

2. Global Chat. Used to communicate with a certain type of feudalists either when the information going to be told is pretty private. Divided into several sub chats:

  • #godenland chat is used to communicate with players connected to the world of Godenland.
  • #illa-newydd chat is used to communicate with players connected to the world of Illa-Newydd (Newbie Island).
  • #help chat is used to communicate globally for assistance with the game, be it to receive it or to provide it to others.
  • #testers chat is used to communicate globally with all the players currently connected to the game on all worlds.
  • #lfg chat is used to look for guild and advertise guild recruitment. Guild adverts are only allowed in that channel.
  • /msg (name) (text) or /tell (name) (text) to send a private message to another player.
  • Free chat room. Type in /join (channel name) to create a new or join an existing free chat channel.
