Сбивайте заграждения, тараньте другие машины, взрывайте огромные бочки с газом, бензином, а также мчите на полной скорости и взлетайте над этим городом, проплывая в небе над многочисленными асфальтными мостами. Только не забудьте правильно приземлиться, иначе машине будет “крышка”. Прохождение игры зависит от получения новых прав. Если вы будете выигрывать все заезды, то начнете получать за это внутриигровую валюту и очки опыта. А потом, когда выиграете несколько состязания подряд, сможете получить новые права, дающие право перейти на следующий уровень. Так и развивается игровой процесс. Режимы игры

Всего есть 5 режимов игры для автомобилей и 2 режима — для мотоциклов:

1. Гонка/Race — Автомобили — Нужно приехать к финишу раньше соперников. Но суть игры в том, что определенного маршрута гонки нет — каждый сам выбирает свой маршрут.
2. Охота/Road Rage — Автомобили — За отведенное время, нужно разрушить указанное количество машин. Но нужно быть осторожнее, ведь прочность у твоей машины не бесконечна.
3. Погоня/Marked Man — Автомобили — Нужно прибыть в определенную точку, пока твою машину не разрушили. Время неограниченно.
4. Экстрим/Stunt Run — Автомобили — За отведенное время, нужно набрать как можно больше очков. Очки даются за трюки: штопоры, полет, дрифт, разбивание стендов и т.д. Если закончится время, игроку дается «Последний шанс» — в это время игрок может набрать столько очков, сколько сможет. «Последний шанс» заканчивается, если игрок допустил аварию или закончилось время на цепочку трюков.
5. Заезд на время/Burning Route — Автомобили — За отведенное время игрок должен прибыть к месту назначения. За успешное выполнение задания, игрок получает улучшенную версию машину, на которой игрок проходил испытание.
6. Дневной заезд — Мотоциклы — За отведенное время, игрок должен приехать к финишу. На заезд можно попасть с 8 утра до 10 вечера по игровому времени. После этого времени, они становятся недоступны.
7. Ночной заезд — Мотоциклы — Суть такая же, как и у дневного заезда. Только режим доступен с 10 вечера до 8 утра по игровому времени.

Для чего проходить эти гонки? Чтобы открывать новые автомобили и мотоциклы, но это еще не все.

Права

Права являются основным показателем прогресса в игре. Игра считается пройденной после получения Burnout License. После победы в определенном кол-ве гонок, игрок получает новые права, а все его пройденные гонки (кроме Заездов на время) сбрасываются.

1. Class L License — выдаются в начале игры
2. Class D License — выдаются после победы в 2 гонках
3. Class C License — выдаются после победы в 7 гонках (9 суммарно)
4. Class B License — выдаются после победы в 15 гонках (24 суммарно)
5. Class A License — выдаются после победы в 26 гонках (50 суммарно)
6. Burnout License — выдаются после победы в 40 гонках (90 суммарно)
7. Burnout Elite LIcense — выдаются после победы во всех 120 гонках (183-210 суммарно, зависит от кол-ва пройденных Заездов на время)
8. Criterion Elite License — выдаются после прохождения игры на 100%

Вне гонок

Если проезжать по городу, то можно обнаружить стенды, заграждения, лампочки и т.д. Если хотите пройти игру до конца, то нужно:

1. Сломать 400 заграждений:

3. Совершить 50 высоких прыжков
4. Побить 64 рекорда по скорости (По 1 на каждую улицу)
5. Побить 64 рекорда по авариям (По 1 на каждую улицу)
6. Найти 11 парковок

Также есть 4 вида специальных строений (Drive Thrus):

1. Гараж (Junk Yard) — Именно сюда складываются все полученные машины.

Palm Bay Heights

Palm Bay Heights is the more «relaxed» end of the city, containing shops and hotels, as well as some small residential areas. The Southern area also contains some small high-rise buildings. Palm Bay’s Landmark is the Maplemount Country Club, which doubles as the base for the Cops in Cops and Robbers. Major landmarks include Big Surf Beach with complimentary Ferris Wheel, the Lawrence Road tunnel, which heads into the country area, and the large Paradise City sign on the Western Hills, which is visible even from Paradise Keys Bridge on Big Surf Island. This hill obscures any view of the main city from the country area.

Game crashes on startupedit

Issues with recording software[citation needed]

The easiest way to rectify this issue is: close the screen recording software, load Burnout Paradise, Alt+Tab ↹ out, then run the screen recording software. If this is not effective, you may need to uninstall the screen recording software entirely. Burnout Paradise may crash on start-up if you have screen recording software running, such as XSplit. This occurs because the game sees the software as a webcam.

Issues with CL Eye Driver[citation needed]

Currently, the only solution is to uninstall the CL Eye Driver entirely. You may encounter further problems even after doing so, so you may have to experiment with trial and error by closing some Windows Services in the Task Manager, then running Burnout Paradise. Users with the CL Eye Driver installed (to enable support for the PlayStation Eye Camera as a webcam) will encounter crashes when loading Burnout Paradise.

Nvidia graphics issues[citation needed]
You may have to end nvstreamsvc.exe via the Task Manager for the game to load. Users with Nvidia graphics may have Nvidia’s Streamer Service installed (used for streaming to Shield).

Windows 7 solution[citation needed]
Windows 7 users have reported crashing when attempting to run the game. To rectify this, set the game to run in Windows XP SP3 compatibility mode, or Windows Vista SP2 mode. It may also help to reduce or disable Anti-Aliasing in the game’s launcher. As a last resort, the game may be fixable by entering into the launch options.

Try connecting online normally. If it connects, ignore the rest of the guide. Otherwise, go to Step 2. After the connection fails, go to the login page again but click «Create new account» instead. Enter the same credentials (ex. email and username) used for the current account into the new one. Once all information is entered in, try creating a new account. If entered correctly, an error message should pop up that says along the lines of «account already exists». Reboot the game and try logging in again with the same account info used in the create account page.

Invalid product keyedit

The only solution is to download and reinstall the game via Origin.

Upon attempting to log into an EA/Origin account in order to play the game online, some users encounter the error «The product key you are using is invalid». This occurs if you are using a retail version of the game which you have registered online via Origin/EA Download Manager. The game recognizes that your CD key is already in use (on Origin), and thinks it is invalid.

Issues fixed[edit]

Game crashes on initial startupedit

Issue with extended ASCII in Windows username
BPR may crash on initial start-up after «Connecting to Paradise City Servers» if your Windows username contains non-ASCII characters. As an example, usernames containing «é» or «ö» will result in a crash.

Issues with OBS
Even if its just installed and not runnig at all it will make game crash everytime you launch it. To fix this you can try to install OBS Virtualcam, if this doesnt work then just uninstall OBS completely.

Issues with Nvidia control panel
If you have a laptop, make sure the Nvidia control panel is not automatically switching your GPU to your iGPU. The best way to make sure this fix works is to manage 3D settings, choose the program settings tab, pick Burnout Paradise Remastered then underneath in the drop-down menu choose you preferred graphics card, apply, and then load the game.

Game crashes during the «Connecting to Paradise City Servers» Messageedit

Occurs when user has a friend on the Origin Friends List that has 25+ characters in their name. The game does a scan of the Friends List to see whether or not they are playing the game and, upon coming across this name, will crash.

Remove that friend from the Friends List. Alternatively, start the game while Origin is in Offline Mode.[citation needed]

Cops and Robbers Pack	Console exclusive DLC that adds a new online game mode as well as police variations of many of the vehicles. While the DLC was never released on PC, the mod includes the police vehicles.

DLC works on both Origin and Steam versions of the game provided that an Origin account is used in-game.

Neither the Cops and Robbers game mode and cars nor the Big Surf Island DLC packs were released for PC. An attempt to recreate these through a mod where made, see .

Version differencesedit

The Ultimate Box (the only version released on PC) is a compilation edition that contains the Party Pack DLC and all of the free updates and game-changing content packs released at the time for the console exclusive game.

Music

Unlike previous games, in Burnout: Paradise 2, players can choose to tune to real-life radio stations. Like in a real car, only radio stations in the range of the user’s real-life location can be used. Others will just be static.

Players can also choose to just listen to the in-game music. This in-game music system will use EA Trax like previous Burnout games.

The third option is to listen to music on the player’s console, or an external music service like Music Unlimited on PlayStation consoles, iTunes on PC/Mac and any other music service available on the console.

Downtown Paradise

Motor City (a Downtown Paradise sub-district) is the initial starting area for players when they start the game. The northern section is more of a warehouse area with a lighthouse, while the southern is a business area containing the skyscrapers that can be seen from Palm Bay, Harbor Town, and Big Surf Island. It is the only region in the game to contain three finishing landmarks, The Coastguard HQ, Waterfront Plaza and the Wildcats Baseball Stadium.
